LG is going premium and following other tech companies footsteps, they have just announced a very premium, expensive, and limited smart watch. They are partnering with REEDS Jewelers for the LG Watch Urbane Luxe, which is made out of 23-karrot gold and an alligator leather strap.
Yes, this might be the most high-end Android Wear smartwatch yet, although the upcoming models from Fossil might give it some competition. As the does the Apple Watch Edition, which is a very high-end gold smartwatch as well. LG is not marketing this as a smartwatch, but they are calling it a premium jewelry product. The Watch Urbane Luxe is only being made 500 times, which is quite limited and it will cost $1,200. They will be launching in October of this year, and will be available exclusively from REEDS Jewelers online store and in their select retail locations.
However, if you really want to get your hand on the Watch Urbane Luxe, it should be available for pre-order on REEDS Jewelers online store soon. In terms of hardware, it still has all of the specifications and features found in the LG Watch Urbane, but it is a more high-end product geared for a consumer looking for a premium device. LG will be showing it off to the public for the first time IFA 2015. You can see a gallery of the LG Watch Urbane Luxe below.
