Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were not the only flagship devices announced at the 2016 Mobile World Congress, and they are also not the only devices coming to Verizon. In fact, Verizon just announced that the modular and innovative LG G5 will be landing this Spring!
Verizon has not announced an exact arrival date or pricing yet, but it will be coming in due time. Getting the LG G5 on Verizon, means you will have access to their lightning fast 4G LTE network and a huge amount of reliability. Verizon’s network was also just ranked number 1 nationwide by RootMetrics. The G5 will be available in silver and titanium when it lands this Spring on Big Red!
The LG G5 features an all metal aluminum design with a modular build, in that you can pop the battery out and add in different companion modules. It has a sharp and curved 5.3-inch Quad HD display that features 3D Arc Glass and an Always-On feature. This Always-on feature allows you to quickly see the time, calendar, and any recent notifications without turning the phone on. The G5 has a 16 megapixel and an 8 megapixel dual camera setup on the back of the device. One of these lenses features a 78-degree and the other has a 135-degree view, which is the largest of any smartphone. In fact the larger of the two is largely then the human eye’s field of view. On the front of the device you will find a 8 megapixel lens.
Powering the G5 is a Snapdragon 820 processor with 64-bit performance, an Adreno 530 chip for graphics, a low-power Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, and a Qualcomm spectra 14-bit dual image processor. All of this processing power is paired with 4GB of RAM, along with Android 6.1 Marshmallow with a LG user interface a top. For storage the LG G5, will have 32GB of internal storage, along with a micro SD card slot so you can expand.
