Samsung has already had the launch of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, but there are more smartphones incoming. LG latest, greatest, and modular smartphone is coming very soon. Yes the LG G5 is officially launching on April 1st, but T-Mobile is kicking off pre-orders for it on March 29th 2016. But on April 1st, the LG G5 will be available in T-Mobile stores nationwide.
The LG G5 from T-Mobile will be available on the device payment plan or at the full retail price. You can get it for $0 down with $26.25 a month for 23 months or for $629.99 outright. No word on the colors that will be available from T-Mobile, but they should have this information soon.
T-Mobile will not just be getting the LG G5, after all you can’t separate it from its friends. Yes, T-Mobile is getting the LG G5 and its friends, specifically the LG 360 VR, LG 360 Cam, and the LG Camera+ module. These will most likely be available soon after launch or later in the year.
Customers who pre-order the LG G5 before April 17th will qualify for a free LG Battery Bundle, this retails for $80 and includes a docking station as well as an extra battery. Even better if you pre-order before April 5th you will get a LG 360 Cam for free, keep in mind this is a $200 value for free.
The LG G5 features an all metal aluminum design with a modular build, in that you can pop the battery out and add in different companion modules. It has a sharp and curved 5.3-inch Quad HD display that features 3D Arc Glass and an Always-On feature. This Always-on feature allows you to quickly see the time, calendar, and any recent notifications without turning the phone on. The G5 has a 16 megapixel and an 8 megapixel dual camera setup on the back of the device. One of these lenses features a 78-degree and the other has a 135-degree view, which is the largest of any smartphone. In fact the larger of the two is largely then the human eye’s field of view. On the front of the device you will find a 8 megapixel lens.
Powering the G5 is a Snapdragon 820 processor with 64-bit performance, an Adreno 530 chip for graphics, a low-power Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, and a Qualcomm spectra 14-bit dual image processor. All of this processing power is paired with 4GB of RAM, along with Android 6.1 Marshmallow with a LG user interface a top. For storage the LG G5, will have 32GB of internal storage, along with a micro SD card slot so you can expand.
