Verizon has been big on promos in 2016 and they are not stopping. This time around they have a promo geared for Android users and you will not have to buy a new phone to take advantage of it. In fact your phone and the technologies in it will make you eligible for it. Verizon will now give you free data, to be more specific 2GB’s of data, for using Android Pay.

While this data will not last forever, like some of their previous deals, it will only last for two billing cycles. You can get a full 2GB of data for free when using Android Pay. The first time you open the application and make a payment, you will get 1GB free. After your third transaction with Android Pay, you will get another 1GB of data. Even better this new promotion or deal is eligible to work with other deals, like the extra 2GBs of data for life when you upgrade or add a new line.

Android Pay is currently available in plenty of stores and is Google’s direct competitor with Apple Pay. Some stores even call out the ability to pay with Android Pay on the payment terminals. Stores like Macy’s, Peet’s Coffee, Subway, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens, and Whole Foods.

As of right now there is no end date for this new promotion, but we will update if they announce one. In the meantime if you are a Verizon customer and have Android Pay on your phone, there is really no reason to not take advantage of this deal.
