Google wants to make the experience with applications on Android more sleek and streamlined. Many users download applications and then might end up deleting them. As they want to try the application and see if it works, but by doing this you use data and lose storage on your smartphone. Similar to when you click on a URL, you get the experience loaded in a very short amount of time.
Android Instant Apps let you use an application before installing it, this is a very neat idea. You will be able to open an application with the tap of a URL, even if the application is not installed on your phone. Google showed off their examples which you can see below; they are BuzzFeed Video, B&H Photo and Park and Pay. You can launch one of these experiences through Google Search, a share link, or through NFC(Near Field Communications).
Google is going an interesting route with Android Instant Apps and it should be a cool feature coming soon to the Android ecosystem.
