Smart Home is a big topic at CES 2017 and with that Incipio is expanding its own CommandKit Line. This Smart Home line loops in with Apple’s HomeKit which got its dedicated application in iOS 10. Currently, Incipio offers a Smart Outlet and Smart Light Bulb Adapter. This year they are introducing a Power Strip and Wall Switch.
The CommandKit Wireless Smart Power Strip offer fours outlets. These can be monitored and controlled via the Home application in iOS 10 or through Incipio’s dedicated CommandKit application. As a bonus, this smart power strip can monitor electricity use as well. The CommandKit Wireless Smart Wall Switch will replace your current light switch. It will allow you to control lights in the room or if you put several of these in, your entire house on the go. With a motion sensor built-in, you can set it up to trigger something as well.
Along with unveiling these two new CommandKit products, Incipio is making an expansion to which smart homes they work with. In addition to Apple HomeKit, Incipio is expanding CommandKit to work with Amazon’s Alexa. Meaning that you can control your CommandKit products from the Amazon Echo or Echo Dot.
The CommandKit Wireless Smart Power Strip will run you $99, while the CommandKit Wireless Smart Wall Switch will cost $59 when they land in Quarter 2 of 2017.
