Apple has been working on some in-house developed content, and the first show to come out of this has just begun streaming. Planet of the Apps is a reality TV show that has a similar premise to that of Shark Tank, but instead, it follows application developers. The premiere episode, Season 1 Episode 1, is available for streaming on Apple Music as of 12:01 AM EST today.

The first episode is also available for free from the iTunes Store, but future episodes which drop weekly will be exclusive to Apple Music. The show first panel, which developers must impress in an elevator pitch style, features Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Vaynerchuk., and will.i.am. Zane Lowe, a member of the Apple Music family, hosts Planet of the Apps in a similar fashion to what Ryan Seacrest did on American Idol.

Developers feature on the show went through a long casting call process, where many developers had the opportunity to apply to be on the show. As winners can get funding and a prominent spot in the App Store. Planet of the Apps premiered in San Jose at WWDC 2017 earlier this evening to a large group of developers.

Apple is also working on at least one other in-house developed show– Carpool Karaoke: The Series will be launching later this summer in August.
