While EA made absolutely no mention of the Nintendo Switch during it’s opening EA Play 2017 keynote, they have issued a release on their one and only title currently slated for the console. And that is, of course, FIFA 18 which hasn’t been rethought for the Nintendo Switch, but rather customized and optimized.

FIFA 18 is on track for a worldwide release for the Nintendo Switch on September 29th. Players can expect the controls for the game to be optimized for the console and it will work with Joy-Cons. More specifically it can work handheld, a Pro Controller, a single Joy-Con, or with two Joy-Cons. The experience will be a solid one regardless if the device is docked or on the go.

This year’s FIFA includes  Ultimate Team™, Career Mode, Kick Off and Local Seasons–which shows that EA is not slimming the title down for a portable variant. EA is also saying that FIFA 18 will run in 1080p when it is played in the dock or as a handheld.
