It is summer, but after summer comes the beginning of the school year. And just like clock work as the middle of this season occurs, back to school deals are being announced. This year, Apple will supply the Beats if you get an iPad or Mac for school. Depending on what model Mac or iPad you get, Beats Solo3 headphones, Powerbeats3 or BeatsX are free.

For the MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro you are saving up to $300. And the purchase of a Mac means you get Beats Solo3 headphones for free. While the purchase of an iPad Pro, either the 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch model, will get you a pair of BeatsX for free.

For the tablets you get a promotional savings of $149, versus the $300 for a Mac, so you can get BeatsX for free or put that credits towards Solo3 or Powerbeats3. While you can find better hardware savings elsewhere, headphones came come in handy while at the library, the gym, or even while walking around campus.

This year Apple is not providing any discounts for the iPhone or top-tier accessories. However, they do highlight the student pricing for Apple Music and some key accessories. It is important to note that Apple’s 2017 Back to School promotions are only available in the United States and Canada.
