Live Nation and Samsung are teaming up to live stream Coldplay in VR

Samsung customers and Coldplay fans are in for quite a treat. Today, Live Nation announced that they are working with Samsung to live stream Coldplay’s upcoming concert at Soldiers Field. The high-tech take on this live stream is that it will be in virtual reality via Samsung’s Gear VR.

In fact, the show will be live streamed exclusively on the Samsung VR service on August 17th starting at 8:30 PM Central Time. This stream will be surely immersive and will allow you to take in Coldplay from the best seats in the house. Streaming events like a Coldplay concert is in line with Samsung’s mission of presenting premium and immersive experiences to its customers.

Through the live stream, fans will be able to see the pyrotechnics and laser lights, along with a full set from Coldplay. This stop in Soldier Field is part of Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams Tour is produced by Live Nation. This tour is also the fifth highest grossing tour of all time according to the Billboard Boxscore. Samsung and Live Nation will kick off the live stream in virtual reality from Soldier Field in Chicago at 8:30 PM CT on August 17th.
