Updated:Verizon Unveils The Nokia Lumia 822!
Verizon Wireless and Nokia have just announced the Lumia 822, a new Windows Phone 8 device coming exclusively to Verizon! The Lumia 822 for Verizon will be running on their insanely fats 4G LTE network! This is just the second Windows Phone device to hit Verizon! The Lumia 822 features an 8 megapixel Carl Zeiss back camera! It has a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera which will allow you to video chat on the go. It also comes pre-loaded with many cool camera features like Smart Shot, Cinemagraph, and Creative Studio. It has an exchangeable shell design, which will allow you to choose the color or design that is perfect for you. They will also make a cover that enables Wireless Charing, a new popular feature. You also Nokia City Lens, which is pictured in the photo above. And Nokia Music is pre-loaded which will let you listen to music for free. Not too many of the specifications of the Lumia 822 have been unleashed, what we know is basically that it will be running Windows Phone 8, Verizon 4G LTE access, 8 megapixel back camera, 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, and a 4.3-inch WVGA screen. No pricing or availability has been announced yet, but it is going to be part of Verizon’s fall portfolio. Update 1: The Verizon Wireless Nokia Lumia 822 product page has just gone live. They have added new photos and a full list of specifications for the device. You are getting a 1.5GHz Dual-Core SnapDragon S4 processor, 1800-mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage, 7GB of SkyDrive storage, micro SD card slot that can handle a 64GB micro SD card, 1024MB of Internal Memory, Near Field Communications(NFC), Bluetooth 3.0, Qi Wireless charging, micro USB port, 3.5millimeter headphone jack, a 4.3-inch Capacitive Multipoint-Touch AMOLED ClearBlack display with a resolution of 800 X 480, 8 megapixel back camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Short pulse high power dual LED, 1080pHD video recoding with back camera, a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, and more! It will come in 3(three) colors, Black White, and Gray. The Gray color model will be available in limited quantities online only. It will cost $99.99 with a 2-year contract on Verizon Wireless. In terms of accessories the Verizon Wireless Nokia Lumia 822 will work with Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by FatBoy, Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster, Nokia Wireless Charging Plate, Nokia Wireless Charging Stand, Nokia Luna Bluetooth Headset with Wireless Charging, JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker for Nokia, JBL PlayUp Portable Wireless Speaker for Nokia, and many others! I am very excited about the Verizon Wireless Nokia Lumia 822 and Cannot Wait To Check It Out!
Update 2: Verizon has said that the Nokia Lumia 822 will be available by Thanksgiving 2012 for the price of $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract.
