Lenovo Unleashes A New Consumer Desktop And A Few Laptops With One Gear For Small Businesses!

Earlier today Lenovo unleashed the new FLEX 2 lineup and now we have even more announcements! We have several new computing devices including the A Series A540 AIO desktop, B50 laptop for business, G50 laptop for consumers, and the Z40 and Z50 entertainment focused laptops. You might remember the Z40 and Z50 from the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show and now we have availability for them, but the rest of the products are new!

The A Series A540 is an all-in-one desktop that is designed for families. It comes equipped with features that let you make the most of our digital content, like the latest and greatest audio and video features. For starters you get a 23.8-inch full HD 1920 X 1080 display. This display is paired with up to aNVIDIA GeForce GT 840A graphics and up to an Intel 4th generation Core i7 processor. Like the A Series of the past, it features an aluminum shell and is only four millimeters thick at the edge. You can adjust the screen from -5° to 90° and you can control the display hands-dress with Lenovo Motion Control. All of this is paired with Windows 8.1 with 10 finger touch support, 20 pre-loaded games and education apps, JBL speakers, and more! The A540 will be landing in July and will start at $1,279.99!

B50

Lenovo B50

Lenovo has always offered business machines, like their famous ThinkPad line, but now we see a more affordable laptop that was created for small businesses. The B50 starts at only $399.99 and will be available in July. It features a 15-inch display and you can choose from three different display, those being  an HD 1366×768 anti-glare touch display, a FHD 1920×1080 or an HD 1366×768 display. The B50 is running Windows 7 and can be paired with up to 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce 820M graphics or up to an A8 AMD processor and either AMD integrated or AMD Radeon R5 M230 graphics. For security you can get an optional fingerprint sensor, plus storage is customizable up to 1 TB of HD or hybrid SSD. Similar to the B50 is the G50, which is a very simple general computing laptop. The G50 features Windows 8.1, up to Intel 4th generation Core i7 or up to AMD R5-M230 processors, an HD display, an HD webcam, and more. The G50 will be coming in July and will start at $399.99.

Z40

Back at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, Lenovo unveiled the Z40 and Z50. he Z40 features a 14-inch optional full HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080. The Z40 comes in at 4-pounds, while the Z50 is 5-pounds. The later also has a 15.6-inch optional full HD display. They offer extreme performance with up to AMD’s newest, highest performance APU processor with up to R7 discrete Radeon graphics. They are running Windows 8.1 and feature Lenovo VeriFace Pro, which will allow you to login in to the laptop via your face. Motion control and WiDi for sharing are both on board. The Z series come in different colors as well, your choice of black, silver, or white. Now, we have confirmed availability, the Lenovo Z Series will start at $529.99 and the Z40 will be available beginning in May via www.lenovo.com, and the Z50 will be available beginning in August via Lenovo.

Overall, it is great to see that Lenovo is expanding its lineup and offering new devices designed specifically for certain markets. For instance the A540 comes in with great features for a family that is paired with productive features and a beautiful design. The B50 comes in at a great price for a small business laptop and the G50 is a very simply starter laptop with some nice features. Then we have the new Z Series which we first saw at the 2014 CES and they offer an experience that is optimized for entertainment. You can see a gallery and press release below.

    RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – April 16, 2014: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today introduced several new PCs starting with the Lenovo A Series A540 AIO desktop built for families and equipped with the latest audio and video features for enjoying digital content. Lenovo also introduced the B50 laptop for small businesses with a balance of essential technologies and affordability; the essential G50 laptop for general computing; and the Z40 and Z50 entertainment-focused laptops.

    The sleek A540 AIO includes a super bright 23.8-in FHD 1920×1080 IPS display in an aluminum shell just four millimeters thin at its edge. Users can adjust the screen from -5° to 90° to position it for however they like to use it. Running Windows 8.1 and supporting 10-finger touch, the A540 lets users experience touch functionality with its collection of 20 pre-loaded games and education apps. Users can even go hands-free with Lenovo Motion Control, which supports up to 12 gestures to complete actions like muting the volume, advancing photos or playing videos.

    The A540 comes with top-of-the-line technologies including up to NVIDIA GeForce GT 840A graphics, up to an Intel 4th generation Core i7 processor, JBL speakers with Dolby Home Theatre, optional Near Field Communications to transfer files from compatible devices and an optional TV Tuner to watch TV programming right on the desktop.

    Starting at just $399, the new 15-in B50 laptop offers small business users incredible value with a host of essential features. The laptops offer multiple screen choices: an HD 1366×768 anti-glare touch display, a FHD 1920×1080 or an HD 1366×768 display. Running Windows 7, users can select either models with up to 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce 820M graphics or up to an A8 AMD processor and either AMD integrated or AMD Radeon R5 M230 graphics. They also have a DVD burner/player, up to 1 TB of HD or hybrid SSD storage, an optional fingerprint reader for security and Dolby Advanced Audio v2.

    The G50 laptop comes with a set of computing technologies including choices of up to Intel 4th generation Core i7 or up to AMD R5-M230 processors, Windows 8.1, Dolby Advanced Audio v2, a DVD burner/player, an HD display and HD webcam. Users can easily log-into their PC with just their face using Lenovo’s VeriFace Pro facial recognition software.

    Meanwhile, the stylish Z40 and Z50 laptops provide a full multimedia experience for on-the-go. At under an inch thin, they come equipped with an optional gorgeous FHD 1920X1080 display, a DVD player/burner, large storage options, Dolby Home Theatre with a 720p webcam. For opening and running users digital files and apps, the laptops offer extreme performance with up to AMD’s newest, highest performance APU processor with up to R7 discrete Radeon graphics.
