Lenovo Y70 Touch_9

Lenovo is kicking off the 2014 IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited show with quite a bang, just moments ago they unleashed a tablet, a desktop, and a laptop! They have decided to expand their portfolio so that the consumer get more options and can truly find a product to fit his or her needs. Lenovo’s first Intel-powered Android tablet is the TAB S8 and it packs a punch with the display as well. Then for gamers they have their first 17-inch touch laptop, the Y70 Touch, and their latest and greatest gaming desktop, the ERAZER X315.

Lenovo TAB S8_2

Let’s start off with the TAB S8, which brings the performance that Intel has been known for and pairs it with Android. It has a 8-inch 1920 X 1200 Infinity display, which is sharper than that of a Full HD display. It has a One Glass Solution touch panel which provides a crystal clear viewing experience, so watching movies and viewing photos will be great on the S8. It has a super-slim bezel which allows you to view the screen in all it’s glory, with out having an ugly bezel. On the back you get an 8 megapixel rear lens that has a f2.2 aperture and a 1.6 megapixel shooter on the front. The Intel Atom Z3745 Processor has Burst Performance which matches the processing power in an effort to provide you with the best experience and to maximize battery life. It is also quite the portable device coming at just 0.65 pounds and just 0.31 inches thick. The TAB S8 also features 7 hours of battery life, BlueTooth 4.0, 4G LTE, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, and is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It will be available this month, September, and will start at $199.99.

Lenovo Erazer X315

Next up we have the ERAZER X315, which is Lenovo’s latest expansion to their line of powerful gaming devices. In the United States it will be landing in November 2014 and will start at $599.99. It has a new body that includes LED lighting on the front and it does resemble a knight’s armor. It features AMD RadeonTM R9 series graphics, a quad-core processor and up to 2TB of SSHD, up to 12GB of RAM, along with  7.1 channel sound support and Dolby® enhancements.

Lenovo Y70 Touch_3

Last but not least is Lenovo’s first 17-inch touch screen laptop, the Y70 Touch. It comes in at just 7.5 pounds and it is lighter than most of the other 17-inch laptops on the market. It features a 17-inch Full HD display with full touchscreen capability, plus it can get up to 16GB DDR3L and 1TB of SSHD storage or 256GB SSD storage. While there is no internal CD drive, you do get an external one right in the box when you buy the Y70 Touch. To pair with its graphics and performance experience, you get JBL®-designed stereo speakers and subwoofer paired with Dolby® Advanced Audio for a great audio experience. The Lenovo Y70 Touch will be landing in October for $1299.99.

Lenovo TAB S8_3

Overall, Lenovo is not taking any breaks and is already starting off the 2014 IFA show with three nice products. The ERAZER 315 is building upon and pushing forward their gaming machines, while they know offer a 17-inch performance laptop that can handle gaming on the go. And my favorite product from the announcement has to be the TAB S8, which has a sharp display, along with a stylish and portable design.
