Lenovo Unveils The 2015 ThinkPad Product Line; Featuring The Third Generation X1 Carbon!

Lenovo has just kicked off their 2015 Consumer Electronics Show announcements, coming in for a landing is the 2015 ThinkPad product line! Not only are they revamping and enhancing their products, but they are celebrating. The new third generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon is celebrating the one hundred millionth ThinkPad! Not only have they revamped the X1 Carbon, but Lenovo has some other new ThinkPad products up their sleeves as well.

First up we have the latest generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which is the top of the line laptop for the brand. It is the lightest 14-inch ultrabook in the world and even though it is super portable, performance is still quite good. You still have a carbon fiber cover and a very sleek design, available in black. It comes in at a very light 2.9-pounds and it under 19 millimeters thick. The X1 Carbon features the latest 5th Generation Intel Core processors and can be paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It features a 14-inch Full HD, WQHD+, or WQHD+ touchscreen display. You get a new three button trackpad, but you can also control the X1 Carbon with voice, motion, or touch. They have also managed to increase the battery life on the X1 Carbon. The new 3rd generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be landing this month, January 2014, and will start at $1249.

Like Acer, Lenovo has a new display as well, except this is a ThinkVision display which is geared more for business. Introducing the ThinkVision X24 which is an ultra slim monitor. It features a 23.8-inch Neo Blade Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080. The monitor itself is just 7.5-millimeter thick and does not have a traditional rear cover, instead the back side is made form a pre-coated metal (PCM) technology. In terms of ports on the X24 you get a Display Port and an HDMI port. The ThinkVision X24 is landing in April and will be starting at just $249.

The ThinkPad Stack is a very unique product, it is the perfect way to combine accessories into one system, but it also allows accessories to be used individually. It uses an interlocking design which means less cables and more portability, and it lets you combine many accessories into one setup. The ThinkPad Stack accessories are a Bluetooth speaker, a 10,000mAh power bank, and a wireless access point, and several external hard drives to choose from. It is a very cool set of products and I cannot wait to get my hands on them. Each accessory is sold separately and they will start landing in the middle of April. The Bluetooth speaker comes in at $89.99, the 10,000mAh power pack will be $49.99, and the wireless access point /1TB hard drive kit will retail for $199.99.

Lastly, Lenovo wants to keep the ThinkPad DNA going through all of it’s products and they are making a wide range of updates to the  ThinkPad X, T, L and E series. These models will feature super sharp displays that are up to 3K in resolution, along with the latest 5th Generation Intel Core processors inside. Lenovo is striving to keep the definitive business standards goals in check and are constantly improving these lines every year. Specifically, with the ThinkPad X250 they are creating the defensive premium business ultrabook. It features a 12.5-inch Full HD display, the latest 5th Generation Intel Core processors, weighing less than 3-pounds, and much more. The X250 will be landing in February and will start at $1149. The ThinkPad T450s and T450 start at $1099 and $849 and will be landing February. The ThinkPad T550 starts at $999 and is available in February. The E450 and E550 start at $599 and will be available in February. Lastly the ThinkPad L450 starts at $699 and will be available from February.

Overall, Lenovo has done a really great job with the 2015 ThinkPad product line and they are continuing to enhance and evolve the ThinkPad DNA throughout their product portfolio.
