Apple kicks off Earth Day with a new advertisement showing renewable energy

Earth Day is here, April 22nd 2016, is the day that celebrates the planet we call home. And Apple has been working to make its affects on the planet better, for instance many of there offices and stores are powered by renewable resources. And in the United States all there properties are powered by 100% renewable energy. Last week they showed off there favorite Earth Day centric applications and some of them even donated some money to help the Earth.

Apple Stores across the globe will even be going green in honor of Earth Day as well. But Apple has just dropped a very cool new advertisement which shows how iMessage connects with renewable energy. Did you know that every time you send an iMessage, that millions if not billions of them are sent a day, it goes too one of Apple’s Data Centers? And all of those data centers are powered by renewable energy, this means it could be solar-powered or even wind-powered. To put it simply, every time you send a text you are technically make the Earth healthier.

The new advertisement is very cool and is available for your viewing pleasure below. It also utilizes the song Ophelia by The Lumineers, which is available on Apple Music. In fact, Apple, also dropped several new  playlists just for Earth Day!
