It is 2017, and the Consumer Electronics Show is right around the corner. Samsung is kicking it off early, as usual, this time with a home appliance announcement. We have seen new washers and dryers throughout the year, connected ones and even smaller ones to go with the larger machine. This year Samsung aims to offer an all-in-one system that can handle big loads.
If you are the type of person who separates lights and darks into different washes, this is for you. The FlexWash + FlexDry washer and dryer are mixing this sector of appliances up. They look like conventional washers and dryers– But you get two in each. The FlexWash five cubic feet front loader and a smaller cubic foot top loader. This gives you six cubic feet, of capacity, for a wash– Plus they can run at the same time on different wash settings.
The FlexDry has a main compartment that uses MultiSteam technology. The top of the dryer features a Delicate Rack zone that uses heated air flow to dry. While it is not like having two separate dryers, it does let you separate delicate items out.
Regarding installation you only need one water line for the FlexWash, even though it has two washers built-in. From a smart home stand point, they are IoT-enabled and work with the Samsung Smart Home application.
Samsung’s FlexWash + FlexDry laundry system will launch later this year, with pricing announced closer to the launch.
