If this season’s premiere of ABC’s The Bachelorette is any indication of what’s to come, it’s safe to say viewers are in for a wild ride. Rachel Lindsay’s past with the show draws last season’s The Bachelor viewers in to follow her story as she looks for love. Rachel is down to earth, down for a good time, and definitely here for the right reasons. She stunned viewers and suitors in this weeks episode in a gorgeous white beaded gown. She earned not only a plethora of compliments from the guys, but also some extra endearment from a very confident member of the house.

While Rachel is the bachelorette from heaven with her intelligence, beauty, and charm, this season’s suitors are definitely an array of personalities. This season has the show’s most diverse cast yet. The show is clearly going to be a bit of a rollercoaster. Personalities range from the “Whaboom” guy (Lucas Yancey) to Rachel’s elementary school’s class trouble-maker, and seemingly now soft spoken, Fred Johnson. First impressions can be tough, but most of these guys stepped up to the plate. From being figuratively and literally swept off her feet, to being tickled, to meeting a male dummy, and of course the infamous “Whaboom” (that seems to be the butt of late night talk show jokes), Rachel is in for a ride. This season of The Bachelorette will definitely be keeping audiences intrigued with the personalities we’ve seen so far.

While the episode did a good job at introducing audiences to Rachel’s possible future husband, the episode didn’t have as much drama as hoped for. The biggest drama was between two contestants, who clearly had different reasons for being on the show. Hopefully over the next few weeks the drama will heat up as Rachel starts narrowing down who receives a rose. Besides someone getting too drunk, guys fighting over Rachel’s attention, and way too much confidence, this episode didn’t do much to stand out from any season before. Over the next few weeks episodes should pick up with drama between not only Rachel and the men, but definitely between the men fighting for Rachel’s heart. Here’s to hoping Rachel falls in love and that the drama heats up.
