Back in February Apple gave us a first look at some original content for Apple Music– the first teaser for Carpool Karaoke: The Series was unveiled. A long form version of the famous skit on The Late Late Show with James Corden. These will not be shorter videos, rather an extension of the idea.
And after a few delays, the first episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series is now streaming on Apple Music. The premiere episode is James Corden and Will Smith, as they go for a ride, sing some tunes, and even crash a wedding. New episodes will be dropping every Tuesday for quite some time, and it is similar release schedule to Planet of the Apps.
The first episode comes in at 20 minutes long and most likely this will be the trend for future episodes. Coming later this season, you can expect to see Alicia Keys, John Legend, Billy Eichner, Metallic, John Cena, Blake Shelton, Shaquille O’Neal, Ariana Grande, and many others. Even better Apple Music has a full playlist highlighting songs from the series and even songs specific to each episode.
