EA showed off its new game Anthem, developed by BioWare, today at E3 running on an Xbox One X. The game is a third-person adventure which follows the lives of a group of freelancers who explore a vast science fiction inspired open world and features multiplayer action similar to Destiny. The footage shown was labeled as real-time in-game footage, running on the Frostbite engine, and was presented by Jon Warner, the game’s director.

The player will get to control their own exoskeleton, called a Javelin, and use a wide array of weapons to fight monsters, both big and small. Teams can also be assembled of four players based on the footage shown, it is unknown as of now if teams can be bigger. The player has the ability to fly through the sky with a set of rockets that are built into their Javelin and can also use these to propel them underwater at a similarly high speed.

Like all other games shown, this one is set to run in 4K and 4K HDR on Xbox One X and is set to launch in 2018.
