When you think of wallets, one doesn’t necessarily think of customization. Rather a finite amount of wallets come to the front of the mind. Brands like Tumi and Coach offer a set number of items, that change by season. But Bespoke aims to change this and wants to add a level of customization that comes together in a product called Bespoke-You.
Granted these wallets are not cheap, they are running a Kickstarter campaign, and the custom Bespoke-You wallet starts at $113, for early backers. Similar to Motorola’s MotoMaker program, Bespoke has an online 3D design tool. From there you choose the type of leather; you can choose from ostrich, deer or alligator. The types of slots and features of the wallet are up for decisions as well. These are decisions like an ID slot, clips, windows, and having your initials embossed on the leather.
While the process for choosing and ultimately deciding on the Bespoke-You is high-tech, each wallet is handcrafted in Florence Italy. Being made by hand means the customer is expecting a certain level of quality, which Bespoke is well aware of. These wallets also have RFID shielding built-inside, this will help to combat wireless frequencies that can steal data.
While the Kickstarter campaign for the Bespoke-You is now live, those who back can expect to receive their custom wallets in January of 2018.
