New Polk Headphones for the Active Audiophile

Thanks to Polk Audio, listeners will no longer have to choose between sound quality and noise cancellation in their headphones.  The UltraFocus 6000 and UltraFocus8000 are Polk Audio’s solution to this problem.

The in-ear buds, the UltraFocus 6000, have the ability to cancel sound without leaving the listener isolated.  With Push-to-Hear ambient control, the headphones not only mute the audio signal, but also amplify the outside noise so the removal of the headphones is not necessary.  In addition, the UltraFocus 6000 have tangle resistant wires and reinforced connection points where the wire is most vulnerable.  It comes with a roomy but protective carrying case to hold accessories such as memory foam silicone ear-buds, 2.5mm-3.5mm headset adapter, or an airline adapter.  The UltraFocus 6000 are priced at $149.95.

The over-ear model, the UltraFocus 8000, boasts the features of the 6000 plus superior sound.  Equipped with leather ear pads and on-ear 3-button control (Play/Pause, Forwards, Backwards), the headphones are also molded to Polk’s SecureFit design to be extremely comfortable.  The Headphones are priced at $349.95, and come with a Skype adapter and 1/4″-1/8″ plug adapter.
