iTunes 12.3

Today was big a software release day for Apple, along with dropping iOS 9, they have also dropped iTunes 12.3. This new version of iTunes doesn’t bring new features, but does bring support for new operating system and some small enhancements. WatchOS 2 for the Apple Watch was supposed to be released today, but the release was pushed back due to a software bug.

iTunes 12.3 brings support for iOS 9 and for the forthcoming OS X El Capitan update, which is dropping on September 30th 2015. It brings two-factor authentication support for your Apple ID within iTunes, along with over stability enhancements. Apple also notes that it improves Apple Music accessibility when using VoiceOver, they have resolved a problem with the reordering of songs in Up Next, and more.

The biggest feature has to be the extra security with the two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. I would highly suggest you that your turn this feature on, plus it is nice to see that Apple is expanding support for it with in its eco-system. iTunes 12.3 is available as an update now within the App Store or from Apple.com via the iTunes page.
