NETGEAR is an interesting company with their arms in several sectors of the technology market. Arlo was unveiled a few years ago as a home monitoring system and this year at CES 2017 NETGEAR unveiled the Arlo Baby.
You can think of this as baby monitor 2.0 that has been updated for the current year. Arlo Baby featuresĀ a cute design that can fit into a nursery. It can act as a music player, can monitor air quality through sensors, and has a colored night light. You get two-way audio, built-in night vision, and remote access to the video stream. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that lets you move it around the room freely. The lens on Arlo Baby records at 1080p Full HD which should give you a clear view.
Having the ability to look back on footage can be important, to this point NETGEAR offers seven days of free cloud recordings. You can view this directly from the Arlo application or via the optional Arlo Baby 7-inch LCD touchscreen display. This has a direct connection to the Arlo Baby, allowing you to have the visual even if your WiFi network is down.
The Arlo Baby Smart HD Monitoring Camera will launch in Quarter 2 of 2017 for $249. The optional 7-inch display will cost $349.
