The star of MWC 2017 was the LG G6 and we have a pre-production model in the house. This is our first look with the LG G6.
Gone is the modular design of the LG G5 and in is a very nice looking and feeling full aluminum design. It has some weight to it and is completely sealed with no removable battery.
Out of the box you get Android Nougat with the Google Assistant. It is a speedy device, although we haven’t been able to do benchmarks just yet, thanks to a Snapdragon Processor with 4GB of RAM.
The star of the show is a gorgeous 5.7-inch QHD FullVision display that has the smallest of bezels on all sides. It is an 18:9 or 2:1 ratio, which is unique. Normal videos will show up with bars, but it is great for multi-tasking with multi window.
Lastly, LG has updated the camera setup and has a fixed a lot of issues with the one on the G5. The G6 gets dual 13-megapixel cameras on the back, one with a 125-degree field of view. You have this new Square Mode which lets you take and see your most recent shot all in the same view.
This has just been our first look at the LG G6.
