The big red carrier has already missed the March time frame for the Wear24 launch, but the mystery in regards to its launch has been unveiled. Verizon announced this morning that the exclusive Wear24 launch would land on May 11th. Moreover, it does have Android Wear 2.0 on-board– You might remember this was launched back in February along with two new LG smart watches.
Verizon is pricing the Wear24 for $299 with a 2-year contract or for $349 off-contract. It does have 4G LTE connectivity and can be added to a Verizon plan for $5 more a month. Verizon’s exclusive smartwatch will be available in your choice of Stainless Steel, Gunmetal Black, and Rose Gold. The Wear24 has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display at 290 pixels per inch, IP67 rating against water, and a 450mAh battery.
The coolest feature of the Wear24 and any Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch would have to be The Google Assistant. Which first truly premiered back on the Google Pixel and it shows the power of AI and what a virtual assistant can be.
Verizon’s Wear24 smartwatch lands on May 11th both in-store and online.
