Maya Rudolph is brining the variety show back with her very own special. The Maya Rudolph Show is coming on NBC on May 19th at 10PM. Maya was a member of Saturday Night Live from 2000-2011 and got an n Emmy nomination in 2012 for guest actress in a comedy series. She was also a co-director on Bridemaids and was in Grown Ups.
As of right now the show will just be one episode, but it just might turn into a show. She is bringing the variety show format back and is very excited about, she will be doing live performing once again. Guest staring on this special will be Andy Samberg (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Kristen Bell (“Veronica Mars”), Fred Armisen (“Portlandia,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers”), Chris Parnell (“Archer”), Craig Robinson (“Mr. Robinson”) and Sean Hayes (“Hollywood Game Night”). There will be a musical performance, most likely one song from Janelle Monae and the band leader will be Raphael Saadiq.
