LG has just announced three new G Pad tablets, the LG G Pad 7.0, 8.0, and 10.1! They will be officially unveiled at MedPI 2014, one of the biggest IT/Tech trade show in Europe, happening on May 13-16. With this announcement LG is largely expanding their current tablet lineup, which only con taints the G Pad 8.3! No word on exact pricing or availability for any of the new G Pads have been unleash just yet, but they should be coming in the next few weeks.
We also don’t have solid specifications or feature for the new lineup of tablets either. The G Pad 7.0 is designed for one hand usage and will be the smallest tablet from LG. It will be an on the go entertainment hub that offers battery life and performance. The G Pad 8.0 might be replacing the G Pad 8.3, as it might be an updated version. It will be offering a nice multitasking experience and will be made for multimedia consumption.Lastly, the G Pad 10.1 will be their largest tablet is meant to provide long-lasting entertainment.
All of the new G Pad’s will have LG Q Pair 2.0 and Knock Code. Q Pair was first introduced along with G Pad 8.3 and allows select Android smartphones to connect to the tablets. You will receive notifications of messages and calls, plus you would be able to respond to them directly from the tablet. Knock Code will allow you to create a custom code for you to unlock your tablet and provides a better security system.
Overall, it seems that LG is really making a push towards the tablet market. Just from the few photos that we have of the device, they look similar to the G2 and Nexus 5, in terms of design. We will let you know as soon as full specifications, features, pricing, and availability is announced for the G Pad 7.0, 8.0, and 10.1, but in the mean time you can see a gallery and press release below.
