LG Lifeband Touch And Heart Rate Earphones Land On May 18th!

We first saw the LG Lifeband Touch and Heart Rate Earphones at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. LG has just announced that are coming just in time for summer, they will be launching exclusively at BestBuy on May 18th, which is this coming sunday. They are available for pre-order form BestBuy.com today and will make their way to other retailers in mid-June.

The Lifeband Touch is LG’s first real wearable device, although there is the forthcoming G Watch that will be more of a wearable. The Lifeband Touch is focused on fitness, it features a OLED Touch Display that will give you access to a range of fitness data. It will help you plan your workouts and monitor your progress. Similar to the LG G Flex, the display is flexible and is designed to be comfortable. It also features two sensors-a triple-axis accelerometer and an altimeter-that work together to provide accurate data. It has some smart features as well, like the ability to check caller ID on incoming calls and text messages. You can also control music directly from the band. The Lifeband Touch connected to your smartphone via an application, the LG Fitness App. It will provide a summary of your workouts and personal goals, it will also work with most of the popular fitness applications already on the market.

The Heart Rate Earphones provide heart rate data in real time via a strap free headset. The sensors to track the heart rate are located in the earphones themselves, making ti much less intrusive than competing products.

The Lifeband Touch will retail for $149.99 and the Heart Rate Earphones will go for $179.99. Both of these new products from LG are available for pre-order from BestBuy.com and will be landing in BestBuy Stores on May 18th. Similarly, The LG Heart Rate Earphones provide real-time heart rate data via a comfortable, strap-free headset. The heart rate sensor resides in the earphones themselves, making the experience less intrusive than using a standard chest strap.

The LG Lifeband Touch gives users the option to check caller ID information on incoming calls and text messages from their smartphones and to control music functions straight from the band’s Touch Activity Tracker screen, keeping you connected while delivering an uninterrupted workout experience. The caller ID feature can also be turned off, allowing users to keep themselves in the zone during an intense workout.

The LG Lifeband Touch is compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems** and can be used in tandem with the new LG Fitness app, which offers both a concise summary of the user’s workouts and a detailed breakdown of personal goals. It’s also compatible with popular fitness apps already on the market-so avid exercisers have the ability to continue using their preferred app of choice.  

The Lifeband Touch and LG Heart Rate Earphones will be available exclusively at select Best Buy stores beginning Sunday, May 18. Pre-orders are currently available on BestBuy.com.
