The much rumored HTC One Remix has finally been officially announced for Verizon Wireless! It will be the newest mid range handset to the carrier and it lands on July 24th. It will be replacing the original HTC One and it appears to be a US variant of the HTC One Mini 2. It will cost $99.99 with a 2-year contract and will also be available on Verizon Edge. The device brings with it many features of the HTC One M8 in a more compact size. As Verizon put it, many of the stand out features from the One M8 are coming to the Remix, for instance a 5 megapixel front facing camera is still on board. But instead of the Duo Camera on the back, you get a 13 megapixel lens with an LED flash. HTC Sense 6 with HTC BlinkFeed is running on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat is on the Remix. From the press images it appears that Chrome is the default browser and Verizon Messages is the default messaging application. The powerful BoomSound front facing speakers are still here to pack a punch. You get a 4.5-inch HD display and a 2100mAh battery. While you get 16GB of internal storage, but you still get support for up to a 128GB micro SD card. And of course the HTC One Remix will be running on Verizon’s lightning fast 4G LTE network and it supports XLTE. Coming later today we will have our video hands-on with the Verizon HTC One Remix!
