Lenovo is using IFA 2015 to launch a number of new products, including a new smartphone with a very unique feature. The company has just unveiled the Lenovo Vibe S1, which features two cameras on the front and a sleek design. It was designed for selfie enthusiasts, and is on a mission to take the best selfies possible. In fact Lenovo, is basing this phone off of what consumers are wanting, with thousands of selfies being posted to social media everyday, they felt there was a need in the market.
The Vibe S1 has two cameras on the front, a first for any device, but the idea here is similar to what HTC did with the One M8. The primary camera on the front is 8 mega pixels, and the secondary one is 2 mega pixels. The primary lens will capture the main portions of the image, while the secondary lens is there for depth and perception. When you put these two images to go, which will happen quite quickly and is effortless, the result is a really good selfie.
All of this technology on the front is paired with plenty of technology elsewhere on the S1. For starters it is running Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo user interface and it is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core 64-bit processor with 3GB of RAM. There is a 13 megapixel camera with auto focus and a dual color flash on the back. The back is encased with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the build of the phone is mostly aluminum.
You will get a 5.0-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 display, plus the device is slightly curved for more comfortable experience. The device has 32GB of internal storage, but you also get a micro SD card slot. It will come in either pearl white or midnight blue, plus it has a 2,500mAh battery and 4G LTE support.
Unfortunately, the Lenovo Vibe S1 will not be launching in North America, but will be landing in other countries and pricing will start at $279.99.
