AT&T has just announced that they will be adding the Kyocera DuraForce XD to their network. This will be the latest push-to-talk device for the carrier and brings with it a rugged design. No word on exact pricing or availability has been released yet, but AT&T said it should be announced in the coming weeks.
The device does have military grade durability, in fact it has a US MIL-STD-810G rating. It can with stand shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing rain, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity and water immersion. It has a 5.7-inch HD display which is also impact resistant. It also has a large 3700mAh battery which can be removed.
AT&T is getting the device first and after a small period exclusivity, it might arrive on some other carriers.
