Liquid Jade Primo Right Angle

Acer has just unveiled the Liquid Jade Primo, a powerful Windows phone. Yes, that is right not an Android phone, but a smartphone running Windows. It is running the latest and greatest mobile platform from Microsoft, that is of course Windows 10 mobile. The Liquid Jade Primo is pretty powerful and is designed for productivity, and it seems that it has taken some hints from previous Acer smartphones and from Microsoft’s most recent Lumia 950s.

The Liquid Jade Primo has sleek profile, and comes in a dark silver color. The rear and front covers have a hairline-brushed-finish, and diamond cut band wraps around the device. It features a curved back as well, this way it can fit nicely in the hand, along with this you have a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass screen. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 176 degree wide-viewing angles.

It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM, plus you get 32GB of internal storage. On the back you will find a 21 megapixel f/2.2 auto focus rear camera with dual LED flash. It can record video in up to 4K 3480 X 2160, while the 8 megapixel f/2.2 camera on the front can record up to Full HD 1080p and has a wide-angle of up to 84 degrees.

Acer has opted to go with a USB Type-C port on the Liquid Jade Primo and for good reason. After all it is running Windows 10 mobile and thanks to this is can provide a PC like experience on the go or when you plug it in to an external display. Plus, the smartphone itself can act as a touchpad or virtual keyboard when plugged into a display, or you can opt for a physical keyboard and mouse.

Liquid Jade Primo Back Angled

In terms of connectivity the Liquid Jade Primo feature LTE Category 6 and 802.11ac MIMO antennas inside. In fact the antenna is formed by laser direct structuring technology, allowing it to find a home on the back cover. This helps to keep the design of the smartphone so thin, plus the touch layer of the display was moved onto the glass surface of the screen to keep it thin as well.

I am very interested in the Liquid Jade Primo from Acer, it is a very interesting move by the company. Especially in that device will eventually land in the United States, but in the meantime it will be landing in the EMEA in February.
