As Paul Lee stepped down as president of ABC Entertainment Group, Ben Sherwood, co-chairman of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney|ABC Television Group announced that Channing Dungey would be taking over.
Dungey is responsible for the development and success of several hits including “Scandal”, “Criminal Minds”, “How To Get Away With Murder”, “Quantico”, “Army Wives”, and “Once Upon A Time”. Prior to this, Dungey was executive vice president for Drama Development, Movies, and Miniseries of the ABC Entertainment Group where she oversaw both development and production of drama pilots, movies and miniseries.
Dungey says of her new position, “I’m thrilled and humbled that Ben has entrusted me with this tremendous opportunity. And I am truly grateful to Paul for being a valued mentor and friend. I’ve had the great honor working alongside the talented team at ABC for many years and look forward to starting this exciting new chapter with them.”
We are sure ABC Entertainment Group is in for a great ride with Channing Dungey as the new president!
