Another year another detachable and multimode computer is here– This time around it is the Lenovo Miix 720. Which pairs a 12-inch tablet with a detachable keyboard and Active Pen.

The Miix 720 has a 12-inch qHD 2880 X 1920 400-nit display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. It has an integrated Intel HD 620 Graphics. It is running Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro– It is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor with up 16GB of RAM. You can also have up to 1TB of solid state storage.

Battery life should be around 8 hours from the 41-watt battery. Lenovo did opt for USB-C on the Miix 720, but it still has standard USB ports as well. On the front, you get a 1-megapixel camera that will allow Windows Hello to let you sign in via your face. The back has a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus. As a bonus, you get 25GB of Dropbox storage with the Miix 720.

Lenovo has enhanced it’s Active Pen, and the Active Pen 2 is paired with Miix 720, along with a removable keyboard. The Miix 720 comes in your choice of either champagne or iron gray, plus it is quite portable at under 3 pounds with the keyboard.

The Miix 720 will start at $999 and will be competing with the Microsoft Surface and other 2-in-1’s on the market when it lands in April.
