After several weeks of beta testing to registered developers and public beta users, Apple has just released iOS 10.2.1 to the public. This is a minor update that could be considered the bug fixes and speed bump to iOS 10.2 which was television last fall. This update is available now through iTunes or as an over-the-air update on your iOS device.
While iOS 10.2 introduced the new TV app that brought single-sign-on with a TV provider to the iOS ecosystem, as well as new Emojis. iOS 10.2.1 doesn’t bring any new features, there are minor user interface tweaks to the TV app, and you will find that many bugs from iOS 10.2 are now no longer here.
Apple is expected to start seeding a beta of iOS 10.3 soon, which may feature new a “Theater Mode” designed to let you use your device in a movie theater. In the meantime, you can update your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch to iOS 10.2.1.
