Earlier today at Google I/O and earlier this year, LG announced the G Watch. It was announced as one of the first Android Wear devices and AT&T has confirmed that they will be among the first to offer and sell the device. While AT&T, is not taking pre-orders they will be one of the first offer the device in their retail stores. AT&T has not said whether or not they will carry the Samsung Gear Live, the other Android Wear device that was showcased today at Google I/O. It will be added to their line of smart accessories and Jeff Bradley, the SVP of devices at AT&T, said the key difference is that it works with any Android smartphone that has 4.3 or higher. No longer are smart watches locked to certain manufactures of devices. The G Watch will be available from AT&T in the coming weeks. You can see the full statement and a gallery below.

AT&T AMONG FIRST TO OFFER LG G WATCH

DALLAS, June 25, 2014 

AT&T today announced it will be among the first U.S. carriers to bring the LG G Watchto its portfolio of accessories.

“The LG G Watch is a great addition to AT&T’s selection of smart accessories,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president – Devices, AT&T. “A key differentiator of the LG G Watch is that it works on any smartphone with Android 4.3 or higher, allowing users to receive notifications and other useful information at a glance. The LG G Watch will be available to our customers in the coming weeks, and we look forward to sharing more details soon.”
