JetBlue has many unique features that make it one of the best airlines out there, and today they are being the first airline to begin accepting Apple Pay in flight. Of course Apple Pay is a big feature on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it is of course what lets your pay with just the tap of your phone. JetBlue is able to accept Apple Pay in flight, as the new register system that inflight crew members use are iPad mini’s with a special NFC enabled accessory. All of this is configured via a specially made iOS app, entitled The Inflight Service Assistant. Eventually Apple Pay capability will be expanding to consumer iOS application, which will let you pay for things in the app with the service. Eventually, JetBlue says they will begin accepting other NFC payment options like Google Wallet.
