Apple’s big event is happening right now, they have already unleashed the new Apple TV, the iPad Pro, the iPhone 6S, and the iPhone 6S Plus. But they kicked off the event with some details on the Apple Watch, which by the way has a 97% customer satisfaction, which is great news. While there are new models, like new colors for the Apple Watch sport, and new bands, the real story is with WatchOS 2.

On stage, Apple announced that WatchOS 2 will be landing on September 16th! With the announcement we dove into see that both Facebook Messenger and GoPro have developed new applications that were designed to work with WatchOS 2. The first large software update to the Apple Watch brings applications that can run directly on the device. It brings new watch faces, including unique time-lapse imagery. You can add third-party complications to the watch faces as well. These third-party applications can now make use of all the sensors in the Apple Watch as well.

You can Time Travel with the new feature, it will let you fast forward to see what else is on your calendar. WatchOS 2 brings Night Stand Mode to the Apple Watch, which will let you use the device as an alarm clock, making use of the buttons on the side of the device. For more security, Activation Lock will be on the Apple Watch as well, it is a very similar experience to using it on the iPhone and iPad.
