BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3P0 might have just stolen the show at the 88th annual Oscars. Well, they showed up for a good reason in that John William’s has his 50th Oscar nomination this year. While Star Wars: The Force Awakens has not yet taken home an Oscar, it does have several nominations.

One of those nominations is for Best Original Score, which the film might just take home. John William’s already has 5 Oscars and has plenty of nominations. To the surprise of the audience, BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3P0 all made an appearance on stage and were looking for Mr. Williams himself.

It was very nice to have the three most famous robots celebrate with John Williams for his 50th Oscar nomination. But, my concern is that C-3P0 might get mistaken for an Oscar award, the resemblance is striking.
