Get ready for a night to remember…the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards are tonight!
Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Award show will be hosted by country music superstar Blake Shelton, who is super-excited for his first KCA ceremony. It will be filled with slime, all of the biggest names across television, movies, music and social media, and musical performances that you don’t want to miss.
Kids across the world were able to vote for there favorite stars, songs, movies, and TV shows since February 2nd through Nick.com and the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle, and select Android devices. New for 2016 was the ability to cast your vote on Twitter by using #KCA and the hashtag of your favorite nominee. New award categories include Favorite Cooking Show and Favorite Musical Collaboration.
Some of the nominees include Adele, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Chris Pratt, The Weeknd, John Boyega, One Direction, Sofia Vergara, Daisy Ridley, Chris Hemsworth, as well as Nickelodeon’s very own Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, and Jace Norman. Performing tonight are DNCE, Charlie Puth with Wiz Khalifa, and Silento.
The competition is especially heated for the television-related categories, as Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory are both up for four awards. To say the least, TV nominations will keep you at the edge of your seat this year.
You can watch the 2016 Kids Choice Awards tonight at 8PM on Nickelodeon, after a brand new episode of SpongeBob SquarePants and followed by the premiere of School of Rock!
