Kensington’s latest Thunderbolt 3 dock can provide power and extra ports

You probably know Kensington from their classic laptop locking solutions. Their latest solution might just be perfect for the 2016 MacBook Pros and other devices that gone done the Thunderbolt 3 aka USB-C route. At CES 2017 Kensington has introduced SD5000T Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station.

For starters, it provides you with a gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, and a headphone jack. Even better that USB-C port supports power up to 85-watts, meaning that you can charge your laptop while it is in the Thunderbolt 3 dock. It can also handle 4K video for use hooking up a display. Kensington was shooting to make a very versatile dock that could be utilized by video editors, graphic designs, and general computer users alike.

If you use your 2016 MacBook Pro with an external display, this dock has a neat trick up its sleeve as it can be mounted. It has support VESA-compatible external monitors, which means you have more space on your desk.

Kensington’s SD5000T Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station will launch in the first Quarter of 2017.
