Acer’s A Touch More Connect event was not just about laptops, all-in-ones, 4-in-1’s, and tablets. They teased a new Chromebook powered by an Intel i3 processor, plus two other products. Those being their next smartphone the Liquid Jade and there entry in to the wearable market, the Liquid Leap.

The Liquid Leap will be a smart band and their first wearable product, they haven’t yet jumped into this category. Sony and Samsung have already entered this market, but no product has really taken off. The Liquid Leap looks similar to a Gear Fit, in that it is band with a display on one side of it. We saw it in a black color and a bright orange model as they quickly showed it on stage. Acer wants to build a companion typer product, the Leap will support lifestyle and activity tracking, as well as easy messaging and notification features. It will be 17 millimeters wide and includes the display. It will be a limited rollout in a select few countries and will be bundled with the also teased Liquid Jade smartphone. Acer said it will be in the time frame of late July to early August for the first of the limited rollout.

Next up we have the sneak peak at Acer’s latest smartphone, the Liquid Jade. It is a very thin device and shows how much Acer cares about the design of their products. They want it be the ultimate design and showcase ultimate beauty. The Jade has no flat surface, the entire devices curved and the back is morphed so that its fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. It will feature a 5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and will be running Android. It is currently in the final stages of prepping and development, which means launch is around 3 months away. It should be coming to select countries in July or early August. It will be bundled along with the Liquid Leap smart band as well in select markets. At least for now, it looks like neither of these products will be coming to the United States.
