Verizon has been adding quite a few new devices this month, from the Xperia Z2 to the HTC One Remix, but it appears they are not done yet. They have just announced they are expanding their tablet lineup again, this time with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. It is available now from Verizon’s online store and should be making its way to their retail locations in the coming weeks. It will retail for $359.99 with a 2-year contract, $459.99 with no contract, and for $22.99 a month with Verizon Edge.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is replacing the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on Verizon, as the successor it does bring some upgrades along with it. While the display is not as high-end as the Super AMOLED on the Tab S, which will eventually becoming to Verizon, the Tab 4 10.1 does feature a 10.1″ WXGA HD TFT display with a resolution of 1280 X 800. For speed, the device is running on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and it is XLTE ready. It is running Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung TouchWiz out of the box. The software experience is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM. While you only get 16GB of internal storage, you can expand this via the micro SD card slot. There is a 3 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. In terms of battery life, you should get around 14 hours via 6800mAh battery.
