NBC is one of the best networks out there, especially when you look at their stellar lineup. They are brining the NBC app experience to the Apple TV, and not just the current 2nd and 3rd generations, but come next week the new Apple TV drops, it will be available for the latest model as well.

The NBC App will allow you to watch full episodes of both classic and current shows. The application has already been available on iOS and Android, the user interface is a nice one. Even better, if you don’t have a login in through Verizon FiOS, Comcast, or DirectTV you can still watch full episodes.

Rob Hayes, NBC Digital Entertainment’s Executive Vice President, had this to say about the announcement;

“We are very excited to launch our vast library of NBC programming on Apple TV. As we see viewership increasingly grow on connected devices and gaming consoles, we’re looking forward to expanding NBC across more platforms this year. Fans will be able to watch the current season of ‘The Blacklist,’ which is currently only available on the NBC App, as well as more than 40 additional series and over 1,000 episodes of both current and classic hit shows”.

Along with thousands of episodes, you can watch classic clips from NBC’s shows, especially great clips from Saturday Night Live. If you do have a login form your service provider, you will be able to access more content and have some less advertisements. You also be able to binge watch entire seasons of your favorite shows. And if it is a new episode, you watch it the day after they air in the NBC App.

The NBC App is now available for the previous generation Apple TV’s, those being devices like the 2nd and 3rd generation. The new Apple TV or the 4th generation device, will be available for order on this coming Monday, and should be shipping by the end of next week.
