One of the largesthurricane’s in history is hitting Mexico as we speak, and that is Hurricane Patricia which is making landfall today. As a result AT&T is making it’s easier for those in the United States to reach there loved ones or friends who are in Mexico. Similar to what AT&T is known to for waiving calls to countries during times of need. AT&T will be waiving texting and calling starting today October 23rd 2015 through November 5th 2015.
Specifically, AT&T is waiving calls and texts placed by AT&T wireless customers and GoPhone prepaid wireless customers as well as any direct dial calls made by our wire line and U-verse voice customers to Mexico. If AT&T decides to extend their Mexico Calling Relief, we will update this article.
The carrier is also setting up a text message donation, in that you can text ‘MEXICO’ to 80108 to give $10 to relief efforts if you are an AT&T wireless customer. AT&T notes they may be expanding this text-to-donate option and we will update this post if they add more ways to donate.
