Late last week, rumors began flying of new tour dates for Springsteen in the United States. This appeared to be an extension of The River Tour for late summer going into the early fall in the United States. Today, Bruce Springsteen has officially announced an extension of The River Tour 2016. This is good news for fans in the United States, as Springsteen and the E Street Band are coming back for some more shows.
This appears to technically be the third leg of The River Tour 2016, which began back in January of this year. It was at first meant to be just a few shows celebrating the release of the box set. But it soon grew, with more dates in the United States being added and a full European leg which runs until July 31st. In the United States he played in New Jersey, California, Florida, Washington DC, NYC, Brooklyn, and a few others.
The E Street Band will kick off this new leg at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford NJ on August 23rd and 25th. But they are also hitting Washington DC, Chicago, Philadelphia, and others. You can see a full list of the new tour dates below.
