Following in the footsteps of Verizon, AT&T has updated its plans and is introducing Mobile Share Advantage plans. These new plans launch this Sunday, August 21, and finally bring an end to overage fees.

Similarly to Verizon, the Mobile Share Advantage plans come with a price hike that also gives you more data. The base prices are $30 for 1GBs, $40 for 3GBs, $60 for 6GsB, $80 for 10GBs, $90 for 16GBs, $100 for 25GBs, and $135 for 30GBs. All of these plans include Rollover data along with unlimited voice and texting. Keep in mind that an access charge for a smartphone, tablet or any device is not included here, but will be added in.

Instead of overage fees, if you go over the amount of data you get AT&T will lower data speeds to 128 kbps for the rest of cycle. While this is really slow, this is better than being hit with another fee.

AT&T’s new Mobile Share Advantage plans finally bring death to data overage fees and manage to make plans a little bit easier to understand.
