AT&T has made a very interesting product announcement this morning at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. Introducing Modio, a smartcase that can turn your WiFi iPad into one that has a 4G LTE data connection. Essentially the Modio is a case that has 4G LTE connectivity built inside, along with a 4,600mAh battery and a micro SD card slot. At launch it will work with WiFi models of iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 2, and iPad Mini. Soon after it will begin to work with the iPad Air 2 and iPad Air WiFi models. It will also be a durable case, that has a kickstand mode as you can see in the photos. The AT&T Modio can be added to a Mobile Share Plan, and you can create a new one if you choose to buy the case and do not currently have a plan. No word on exactly when the AT&T Modio will be coming out or the exact pricing of it, but we should get this information closer to its launch.
