It might just become the centerpiece of the home entertainment system in your house, with great visuals and out of this world wireless features. It is the first projector to provide internal Chromecast wireless dongle compatibility, which will allow you to project wireless from a phone, tablet, Chrome web browser, or even a Chromebook. The Chromecast and other wireless dongle compatibility is just the beginning of new features of the Acer H7550ST projector. It has a high 3,000 lumens brightness and a native 16:9 aspect ratio which will deliver gorgeous HD images. The wireless technology expands into the audio sector, as you can stream HD to audio to a Bluetooth sounder, speaker, or headset. LAS VEGAS (Jan. 3, 2015) Acer Inc. today revealed its Acer H7550ST, a powerful projector that delivers brilliant Full HD visuals and 20W stereo audio with short-throw and wireless versatility. It’s the world’s first projector to provide internal Chromecast wireless dongle compatibility. The Acer H7550ST will be on display at Pepcom’s Digital Experience! Event on Jan. 5th at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

The new Acer H7550ST projects clear and wide images of up to 100 inches diagonally from as little as 4.9 feet (1.5M) from the screen thanks to short-throw technology, a high 3,000 lumens brightness and a native 16:9 aspect ratio. Due to its ability to project a large picture from a short distance, it’s perfect for consumers who will be using the projector from the comfort of home for enjoying movies, games and karaoke, even within smaller rooms. It’s also a great option for educators for projecting lessons in the classroom.
For added convenience, a hidden adapter enables data to be transferred and projected wirelessly from a smartphone, PC or Chromebook leveraging user’s own Chromecast,(1) an Acer MWA3 MHL dongle or Acer WirelessHD,(1) which delivers 60Hz Full HD 3D movies without having to change settings when used with a HDMI cable connected to a media player. The unique hidden design of the adapter furthers data security, while maintaining the projector’s clean look and feel and reducing the possibility of it being lost.
Two built in 10W speakers provide powerful sound, eliminating the need for external speakers. Deepening the audio impact, built-in DTS Sound increases loudness without escalating distortion, while improving bass performance and vocal clarity. In addition, Acer True Harmony, a customized equalizer, fine-tunes and optimizes the frequency balance to deepen the impact of movies, games and music with enhanced bass and multidimensional sound.

Acer Colorsafe II provides realistic visuals with its ability to reduce brightness decay and color shift to ensure long lasting color fidelity compared to other technology. In addition, Acer ColorBoost3D leverages an optimized 6-segment color wheel, powerful image processing and advanced lamp illumination to deliver true-to-life colors beyond RGB. Furthermore, with 2D- 3D conversion and HDMI 3D ready, customers can instantly enjoy seamless 144Hz 24p 3D movies through two pairs of 3D goggles with family.
Boasting a 16,000:1 contrast ratio and native Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution, the Acer H7550ST projects clear, vibrant images to a large screen, even indoors during daylight. Dynamic Black technology creates excellent image contrast via lamp power adjustment that analyzes content frame by frame. It fine-tunes dark scenes to optimal black levels, while maintaining brightness, resulting in high image quality.
