Samsung has kicked off their 2015 Consumer Electronics Show by announcing an extensive lineup of televisions and several new features for TVs. They are setting a new start in UHD televisions, not just for the hardware but for the content as well, introducing the new SUHD TVs. It surpasses the previous limitations of UHD TVs, they have an even better picture quality then the predecessors. They are also unveiling new Smart TV functions which are now powered by Tizen, this will give customers access to plenty of content for their televisions.
SUHD TVs are enhancing picture quality to a groundbreaking level with advances in contrast, brightness, color reproduction, and detail. Overall, this makes for an incredible picture quality on these televisions. The re-mastering engine automatically analyzes the brightness of images and this technology creates the most accurate color display. Like the original UHD TVs from last year, the design of SUHD are very modern and contemporary. The SUHD pick up were the UHDs left off, the JS9500 will feature Samsung’s Chamfer bezel design which creates more depth in the TV screen. With smooth aluminum finish thin frame going around the screen, it creates a great look.
The new Tizen Smart TV platform brings many new features and intuitive access to the SUHD TVs. For starters it has been simplified down to one screen and has quite a colorful design to it. The TVs features QuickConnect which will allow Samsung smartphones to send photos and videos the TVs using Bluetooth Low Energy. They have integrated Samsung Sports Live, while watching a sport games they can overlay both team and player statistics on the screen. Samsung is making sure UHD content is available for their customers, they have partnered with services like Amazon, Comcast, DIRECTV, M-GO, and Netflix. Overall, Samsung’s new Smart TV platform is a very nice upgrade, as it brings with new enhancements and a faster interface.

Introducing Unmatched Picture Quality
Utilizing Samsung’s proprietary, eco-friendly nano-crystal technology and intelligent SUHD re-mastering picture quality engine, Samsung SUHD TVs demonstrate groundbreaking advances in contrast, brightness, color reproduction, and detail to deliver an overall superior picture quality experience.
SUHD TV’s nano-crystal semiconductor transmits different colors of light depending on their size to produce the highest color purity and light efficiency available today. This technology produces a wide range of more accurate colors, providing viewers with 64 times more color expression than conventional TVs. The SUHD re-mastering engine automatically analyzes the brightness of images to minimize additional power consumption while expressing ultimate contrast levels, producing images with much darker blacks and an elevated brightness up to 2.5 times brighter than conventional TVs and twice the color adjustment points for the most accurate color display.
By collaborating with the leading Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox, Samsung has been able to optimize content to meet premium quality SUHD standards. This allows for consumers to have an unrivaled UHD viewing experience.

- With Quick Connect, Samsung Smart TVs automatically recognize Samsung smartphones once paired via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)technology. - Consumers will be able to stream UHD movies and TV shows from providers such as Amazon, Comcast, DIRECTV, M-GO, and Netflix. In addition, Samsung has enabled a new UHD movie download service utilizing its existing UHD Video Pack in partnership with M-GO, a premium TVOD service and joint venture between Technicolor and DreamWorks Animation. This download service uses the SCSA (Secure Content Storage Association) standards. In 2015, this service will offer the highest quality content for both Samsung SUHD and UHD TVs.
